In The News
Dear QNation.FM Members and Listeners,
Over the past five years we have broadcasted and successfully promoted and played the music of hundreds of GLBT artists and musicians. In recent events we had became unable to keep operating due to lack of funding. In an effort to continue broadcasting we began a pledge drive early this year to help us raise enough funding to continue until the end of 2012. Well we took a stab at it but we were unable to fulfill our pledge drive goals and raise the money to continue operations in 2012.
Myself and the staff here at QNation.FM want to sincerely thank everyone that cared enough to contribute to our cause. At least we know that the station had a little bit of an impact on the GLBT community and helped promote hundreds of signed and independent GLBT artists and musicians. What does all this mean for the future of the station? Well in short we are having to shut the station down until further notice effective March 1st. All current QNation.FM programming will continue until February 29th which will be our last day of broadcasting as it stands now. It has been fun and we have all enjoyed providing a unique GLBT radio station to the community that was not just a stereotypical dance station. For the past five years we have played all types of music and artists from Dance to Rock and we have made many friends along the way.
Before we go I sincerely want to thank all of my dedicated staff for providing the great programs which aired on the station. If it weren't for you there would have been no QNation.FM! Again I want to thank all the listeners, sponsors, and everyone else who contributed in our campaign and for supporting us the past five years. I hope that we will able to return in the future and continue past another five years. We hope to see you all in the future if and when we re-launch!
